Women Auction Off

August 11th, 2009 in History Happening Today by Tracey McCormick

Women historymakers have been all over the press recently (and in a good way), whatwith Sonia Sotomayor’s recent confirmation to the Supreme Court, Hillary Clinton’s diplomatic ways, and the death of Eunice Kennedy Shriver. The National Women’s History Project, whose mission it is champion the accomplishments of women like Sotomayor and her ilk and lead the drive to write women back into history, is auctioning off getaway trips anyone would love. Some items on the list: a week at Laguna Shores, a weekend a Lake Tahoe (no whammies!), a weekend retreat at the base of Mt. Hood, Oregon, and a host of other female-power trinkets and prizes.

The auction ends today Wednesday, August 12. Put your bids in now!
