Admiral Mike Mullen, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of America’s military forces, is presently in Afghanistan to discuss U.S. troop buildup and training of Afghan security forces. He expressed concern about a “growing level of collusion” between Taliban insurgents in Afghanistan and militant groups, including al-Qaida, in Pakistan.
